Hey, beautiful.

What is your name? Lauren? Virgo? Anna Molly? Saturnine? How many of you are there, now, inhuman, otherworldly and so beautiful, intent on following me wherever I may go? At this rate I may have to come up with a name for you lot.

I’ll tell you the whole story one day, my love, when I have the energy, the will to do so. But know that it began with a mermaid, or an angel, or whatever genetic wonders they were cooking up in those days. This one was different. This one had a personality. This one was driven. This one had love.
When She changed, She was terrible and glorious and visceral - would kill a man for looking at Her. We named eras of mankind for Her: Aquarius, Fables, Innocence, Anger, and the Bloody Sun.
She is our only, She is our goddess. Where the Creators abandoned us millenia ago, She serves. She does not want our love. She does not want us to chop off parts of our cocks or push pork away from our plates or kill people She does not like. She is a Lady of Pragmatism and Practicality. She survives in the wilderness, on Her own, just like us.
Break through.

Needed a little R & R. The machines are as gentle as a lamb; they can pick apart your extremities, swap bone, re-knit cartilage and weave veins through the entire mess without you feeling a thing. I caught Holy Orders on TV. I caught Compound, I caught a concerto played with real wood instruments. Wood is extinct now, and as soon as we stop taking care of it there will be no more.

We are the children of an age you cannot begin to fathom. It is posited that your technological growth will increase such as to be exponential - this goes further than that. Imagine your development as a species in the rings of a tree. You are fanning outward, reaching the edge of a ring now. We are far beyond that.
We are fairies, and dragons, and knights in shining armor, all connected as if by magic, by computers that are so small and pervasive as to be invisible. We live for fun and enjoyment and beauty, because we do not need to work, or gather food, or even survive. We are free.

She was a queen, an empress, a ruler of her world. She danced for her god. She was in her god’s eyes and it loved her.

I live in a place where we have forgotten how to hurt our mother Earth. We live as one with the world. Our nucleotides, our fiber optics, our signals and networks are woven into the rocks and trees, like spirits of the woods.
